Designing your paver patio can be a lot of fun. It’s a chance to be creative and install something in your yard that reflects who you are. But when most people think of a patio, they imagine a concrete colored rectangle. While that’s similar to a blank canvas, it can be difficult to come up with some fun and unique ideas if you don’t know what your options are. If you’re finding it difficult to think of a cool design for your patio, here are a few places to find inspiration.
Paver Companies and Manufacturers
If you’re not certain what’s out there, go look. You can check out a number of different paver manufacturers and sellers online. Almost all of these companies have photos of the pavers they have for sale. Some even have pictures of projects the pavers were used in, including some patios. You can find the color and the dimensions of the pavers, too, so you can calculate how many you would need for the project you’re planning.
Other Paver Patios
While you may not want to perfectly duplicate the paver patios you see at businesses, historic locations, or your neighbor’s backyard, you can certainly take inspiration from them. Look at the colors used, the size of the pavers, and how different sizes and styles were mixed. You might decide you like the colors used in one patio, but the pattern or paver style from another. If you’re uncertain, see if you can find those pavers or ones similar in stock at a local hardware store. You can literally lay out a bit of the design in the store to see how it looks. You can then order those pavers elsewhere if you find a better price.
Look Online
You’ll find hundreds of paver patio images online. You can get inspired by these amazing photos. Even if you see one that takes up a much larger space, you may be able to scale it down to fit your yard. Again, you can always combine a few of these ideas into your own unique design. Don’t be afraid to get creative!
